Rathbornes is the world’s oldest candle company with more than 500 years of history poured into every one of our handcrafted products. We lit the streets, homes, lighthouses, and churches of Ireland, becoming ingrained into everyday life and a signal of safety on dark, cold, wintery nights. Our centuries in business have given us the time to refine our practices, taking the best from our ancestors whilst also developing new formulations, using beeswax and stearin in place of animal tallow. Our innovations have led us to our current formulation, a cleaner and slower burning candle that can be enjoyed by all. However, we keep our history close to our hearts, hand pouring every one of our candles just like we did all those years ago…
