LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL 2016
The London Design Festival welcomed its 14th year last week and it didn't fail to impress!
Celebrating design in all its forms, from interior decoration to conceptual art, the festival featured over 400 events including talks, workshops, trade shows and exhibitions. Below are some of our favourite highlights:
The Green Room: Image Taken from http://www.glithero.com/the-green-room
Host to a range of exciting and talented artists and brands - including London Design Studio Glithero and Benjamin Hubert- the V&A has become one of the most important hubs to visit.
'As part of the London Design Festival Studio Glithero presents the Green Room, a monumental installation at the V&A in partnership with luxury watchmaker Panerai. Taking the watchmaker’s central premise of ‘time’ as the inspiration, Glithero has created a kinetic piece that changes our perceptions of what a clock can be.'
Ineke Hans - Cuckoo Eggs: Reconsidering Furniture at the V&A for 2017 and beyond.
Artist Ineke Hans cleverly updates the V&A’s furniture collection by placing notes and remarks relating to objects in the galleries’ permanent display.
Transforming The Old Truman Brewery into one of the freshest design trade shows, it featured both well - established and emerging practices over the three floors.
